Farrah Fawcett, real life sex symbol and cancer victim, fictional crime fighter and crime victim, has died at the age of 62, and we here at the Mansion mourn her passing.

Her raw portrayals (in Extremities and The Burning Bed) of the horrific brutalities thousands of women experience every day at the hands of thousands of men, coupled with her difficulties in finding work as she aged, serve as stark reminders of the ways in which our culture degrades half of its population without a second thought.

Rest in Peace, Farrah. We admire your bravery in facing your disease and in helping the public to learn more about it.
